How to Create Dependency Dashboard Gadgets

Create powerful dependency visualisations directly in your Jira Dashboards by following these steps:

Prepare Your Data

First, configure the dependency view you want to share. Navigate to the Main Hub and create your search using either Basic or Advanced Search. Once you're happy with the results, click 'Save Search' to store this configuration for reuse.

Set Up Your Dashboard

Head to the Dashboards section in Jira. You can either use an existing dashboard or create a new one to house your dependency gadget.

Add the Dependency Mapper Gadget

  1. Click 'Add Gadget' on your dashboard

  2. Find and select the Dependency Mapper Gadget from the gadget directory

  3. Choose your preferred dependency chart type

  4. Select the saved search you created earlier to power your visualisation

  5. Click 'Done' to add the gadget to your dashboard

Your dependency chart will now appear as an interactive gadget on your Jira Dashboard, automatically updating as your dependency data changes.

Transform any Dependency Mapper chart into a dynamic dashboard gadget using your saved searches.
