🚀 New Features

1. Migration to Forge Framework

  • What’s new?

    • We've migrated our backend framework from Atlassian Connect to Forge.

    • As part of this migration, the UX and UI have been completely upgraded to be more responsive, contextual, and feature a cleaner interface.

  • Why it matters: Provides a modernised and seamless user experience, along with enhanced performance and scalability.

2. Saved Search Functionality

  • What’s new?

    • Replaced the Quickshare Link functionality with a proper 'Saved Search' feature.

    • Allows you to store JQL queries and app configurations in an easily retrievable way.

  • Why it matters: Simplifies managing and reusing your configurations and queries.

3. Universal Dashboard Gadget

  • What’s new?

    • Consolidated all gadget options into a single, universal gadget.

    • Users can now select the appropriate Saved Search and chart option to render directly in-place.

  • Why it matters: Streamlines dashboard management and enhances usability.

4. Navigation Updates

  • What’s new?

    • Removed the Dependency Mapper option from the project sidebar to minimise clutter.

    • Bookmarked links to the old Connect version of the app will no longer work. Update your bookmark to the latest URL under Apps > Dependency Mapper in your navbar.

  • Why it matters: Optimises navigation while keeping your workspace organised. If you’d like the sidebar option reinstated, let us know via our contact page.

  • Optimised rendering for large datasets, ensuring smooth interactions even with thousands of nodes and edges.

  • Reduced memory usage for more efficient handling of complex Jira instances.

2. Customisation Options

  • Added ability to dynamically configure charts on the fly using a pull-out menu on the right side of each chart

  • Issue types and Issue Link types are now based on the returned issues in the JQL query, rather than polling the entire instance

  • More customisation options for each chart

3. User Experience (UX) Enhancements

  • Streamlined onboarding experience for first-time users.

  • Contextual tooltips and in-app guides for better navigation.

Given this is a major version update, users will need to manually update their Dependency Mapper app to the latest version to receive the new user experience and changes. For Data Center versions, download the latest version from the Atlassian Marketplace.
